Recently bought myself a BX GT. Liked it since I borrowed one from the Citroen dealer in the early 90´s after driving my BX 16 RS into some logs (nope, it didn´t survive).
Anyway, in the 80´s, Sweden, along with Switzerland, had their own regulations for controlling emissions on cars. In one of the Haynes workshop manuals it´s described as regulations created by bureaucrats with no knowledge at all.

Anyway, the system usually fails, and I´m thinking of removing it. But I´ve been told the carb on Swedish cars are not the same as on "normal" spec cars.
So my question is: what is the GT´s original carb
No, my car doesn´t run as it should. I guess I have a vacuum leak somewhere. The EGR is broken and disconnected (and plugged in both ends) and I replaced almost 4 meters of 4mm. vacuum hose - and it runs better, but still stalls when letting go of the throttle (unless i use the choke), and it doesn´t like full throttle on +4000rpm
My "girlfriend" (OT: what do you call someone you live with, but are not married to in english? In Sweden we call it "sambo", short for "sammanboende", translated it would be "living together - so why not call it "lito" in english)
said just black smoke came ut when I floored it.
