I 've renewed the gearbox oil, and adjusted the clutch linkage, and the gearchange is a vast improvement.
I won't need to renew my diesel top air...

Before i start this is my experience when it comes to changing cambelts:
Once on a Citroen AX 1.1 (35 mins)
Once on a Cavalier 2.0 16v (2 hours)...

Do check the plugs on the side of the unit for weep. If it's leaking there, all the pipe-tightening in the world won't do any good.
